At Spanish Hangout very often we get this question from our potential students. It’s hard to answer that but in general, if you join any of our 5 or 10 weeks small groups online, after 3 cycles you will have a nice level of Spanish that will allow you to say many things you want, after these cycles you’ll be hooked up to Spanish that you will want more:)

Here you have some tips on how you can speed it up:

Download a free app like Duolingo to help you get started. All these apps are great for vocabulary but they can’t help you to speak.
Then hire a certified Spanish tutor for private classes if you are in a hurry or join a small group course where you have a trained teacher who leads a modern and conversational program.
Switch the settings on your phone to Spanish, first days will drive you a little crazy but then you’ll love it
Start watching a tv show with subtitles. Netflix has the best!
Play and learn some songs in Spanish, Youtube can do that.
Do at least 5 minutes a day of Spanish besides your classes and app. Increase the time whenever you can.
Write some flashcards and leave them around the house, anytime you pass around them, read them, replace them once you have had retained the content.

You will need a good teacher that knows how you learn and motivates you + a good method of learning to make it more fun and enjoyable.
